World Health Day 2018: Suggestions to stay happy at your workplace

When you are under a lot of pressure then eventually, you go into the phase of depression or anxiety which is very common nowadays. The reason can be anything, it may be a personal issue which is troubling you or the workload and because of that, you don't even get time off from your work. Whatever the reason may be, but it does affect your performance at work.

According to a survey, at least one in six employees are experiencing common mental health problems, which includes anxiety and depression.

During your office hours, you spend most of your active hours on your workplace. You have to be in a good mood when you work else it affects your performance. People generally don't feel like talking about it as the mental health issue is still considered as a taboo. But still, there are a lot of ways that you can work to make a healthy workplace.

You have to first take care of yourself

Stay normal no matter whats going around you. Key to a healthy life is to stop taking stress.

Travel

You have to take a holiday break if you have too much work pressure. It will not only make you feel alive but also you will be able to focus on things in a better way. Take advantage of your holidays and go some where near if you don't have enough time.  

Participate in activities

Participating in group activities is a great way to feel active. Team up with colleagues and play together and spend time with them during lunch breaks. Don't spend time alone as it will make you feel dull.

Music

There is not much to do in the office time but sure you can take some time to listen to your favourite tracks. Music actually heals you in the time of stress.

Exercise

It's is a great way to fight stress.  Exercise not only makes you flexible but also it is a kind of meditation which helps to improve our concentration. Exercise or Yoga are proven that they are the best treatment to fight stress.
