Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly is all set to take charge as the new chief of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Ganguly will take charge as BCCI’s chief on 23rd October.

Former India’s all rounder, Yuvraj Singh, took to his official twitter handle to congratulate Ganguly. "Greater the man greatest the journey! Frm IndianCaptain to @BCCI president.Think it will b a gr8 insight 4 a cricketer to be an administrator & make others understand admin frm a players point of view Wish u were d president while d yoyo was in demand good luck dadi @SGanguly99," Yuvraj Singh tweeted.

Sourav Ganguly swiftly came up with a respond to Yuvraj’s tweet and said the you (Yuvraj) have won India numerous World Cups and now its time to do good things for the sport.

"Thank u the best .. u have won India world cups .. time to do good things for the game now .. u r my super star .. god bless always," Ganguly replied.

The former skippers reply to Yuvraj Singh was cherished by many fans on social media.

Earlier, Ganguly had shared a picture with his new team. Jay Shah, Arun Dhumal, Jayesh George and Mahim Verma.

Former BCCI chief, Anurag Thakur, had reportedly played a vital part to turn the table in Sourav Ganguly’s favour.

After filing the nomination, the 42 year old stated that he wishes to bring back normalcy in Indian cricket.

"Hopefully in the next few months, we can put everything in place and bring back normalcy in Indian cricket," Sourav Ganguly told reporters on Monday.

Sourav Ganguly also went on to state that he wants to mirror the success of former president Jagmohan Dalmiya.
