Tejas: Panga actress Kangana Ranaut to play Air Force pilot in Ronnie Screwvala’s next

Kangana Ranaut hit the silver screen with her film Panga also starring Jassie Gill, Neena Gupta and Richa Chadha. From past few days, the actress was hitting the headlines for slamming Saif Ali Khan for his ‘No India’ concept and Deepika Padukone for 'acid attack' look challenge on TikTok.

However, this time the actress is hitting the headlines for a different reason that is the actress is all set to essay the role of an Air Force pilot in Ronnie Screwvala’s production house film “Tejas.” The film will be helmed by Sarvesh Mewara.

As per Bollywood Hungama, the actress always wanted to play the role of a soldier and since childhood, she was quite fascinated with the Armed Forces. She confirmed the news by saying, “I’ve never held back my emotions for our jawans and spoken openly about how strongly I feel about their heroism. They keep our country secure and our people safe. So, I’m very happy to be doing this film.”

The film will go on the floor this year in July, however before beginning with the shooting the Panga actress will undergo extensive preparation with professional trainers. Currently, the actress is busy shooting for Thalaivi, a biopic of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha.

 

 

Kangana who is quite excited to plat the role as a pilot on the screen said that she closely followed Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman’s story from the time he was captured to his ‘ghar wapsi.’ She further added that in true form he is a hero because of the way he handled the situation.
