Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan star Ayushmann Khurrana reacts to Donald Trump’s tweet for film

Ayushmann Khurrana is hitting the headlines after his film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan hit the theatres on Friday. The actor is riding high on its success and now he is on cloud nine when US President Donald Trump applauded his film. The film which narrates the ordeal of homosexuals received an applaud from Human Rights campaigner and LGBTQ+ activists Peter Tatchell. Taking to his Twitter handle he wrote, “A new #Bollywood rom-com featuring a gay romance is hoping to win over older people, following the decriminalisation of homosexuality. Hurrah!”

As soon as he dropped this tweet Trump was quick enough to react on it and while retweeting his post he wrote, “Great!”

This left not just fans in shock but also the whole star cast and director of the film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. During an interview when Ayushmann was asked about Trump’s reaction he said that it was a very surprising tweet. They never expected that US President will respond on their film.

He added, “I want him to work for LGBTQ+ rights in his country. I hope the LGBTQ+ community in the US gets his support. He should definitely watch our film, it’s very important for him.” Well with this comment it seems Ayushmann is well aware of Trump administration’s stance towards LGBTQ+ rights.

Ayushmann further continued that homosexuality is a big taboo in small cities and its important to raise such issues through comedy as in audience will cone for entertainment and will take home a message. He continued that he built his carer out of experiments and will be over the day he stops taking risks.
