Elderly woman slips while boarding train; horrific moment caught on camera

In a shocking incident, a 71-year-old woman got slipped while boarding a train at Mumbai’s Vasai Road railway station. She got stuck into the gap between the platform and the moving train. The horrific incident got captured on the CCTV camera installed at the railway station.

The incident took place on Saturday when the woman, a resident of Hyderabad, Telangana, was trying to board the Bhavnagar-Kakinada special train. The video of the incident also went viral on social media.

In the clip, two women, including a man are seen trying to board the train, however, one of the women lost her footing, tumbled down, and got stuck in the platform gap. Luckily, she got saved by the police staff and passengers standing nearby them. After a few seconds, the train also got stopped.

The video of the incident was shared by news agency ANI on Twitter.

Since the video is being surfaced on the internet, netizens have lashed out at the woman for her risky act to board the train. While some users have applauded the passengers who rushed to help the elderly woman.

According to a Western Railway official, the woman sustained an injury on her back and leg.

She was taken to a nearby hospital from where she was discharged on Sunday.

However, this is not the first time when such an incident took place because of passengers' irresponsible behavior. Time and again, Indian Railways has warned passengers not to board a moving train because it could be risky for them.
