India vs Afghanistan, Test Preview : Can the blue tigers showcase miracle against India in holy month of Ramadan

In the holy month of Ramadan, under the leadership of Virat Kohli’s deputy Ajinkya Rahane, India is set to lock horns with Afghanistan in the historic one-off Test match at Bengaluru tomorrow 14th June.

It will be the most glittering moment for the Afghanistan as they will play their maiden historic test match in the red ball format. Afghanistan struggled, they have waited and finally, Test cricket will have a new nation. 

Indian pacer Mohammed Shami is dropped out as he failed to clear the Fitness Test. Delhi’s fast bowler Navdeep Saini is called as his replacement.

India will be part of a team’s maiden Test for the fourth time. Previously, India alresdy hosted  Bangladesh, Pakistan and Zimbabwe’s maiden Test. At home, this will be the 2nd such occasion for India. India's first such instance came way back in 1952 when they hosted Pakistan’s debut Test in Delhi.

The rain gods can make their presence felt. Rain can be the obstruckle in the maiden Test match of Afghanistan. Bengaluru weather is unpredictable.

The right-hander batsman Ajinkya Rahane needs 117 more runs to complete 3,000 runs in the Test cricket. He has scored 2,883 runs in the Test form.

The Veteran pacer Umesh Yadav has taken 99 wickets in the longest format of the game.

The stylish opener Murali Vijay  required 198 more to get to the landmark of 4,000 Test runs as he amassed  3,802 runs under his belt.
