Amala Paul on giving nude scenes in Aadai: I was supposed to leave industry

These days actress Amala Paul is in the controversies for doing a nude scene in Tamil film Aadai and she recently told that she was decided to leave the industry if Aadai didn't happen to her. 27 years old actress at the audio launch of upcoming movie Aadai opened up about the scene of the teaser in which she can be seen nude that made a controversy.

“I was telling my manager that I wanted to quit the industry because the synopsis I was receiving from filmmakers all felt like a lie. Yes, they were heroine-centric... but the concepts were simple. Like a rape victim, her struggling against the odds and gaining revenge, or a wife who supports her husband endlessly, or a sacrificial mother. I had no interest to be a part of these lies,” she said.

She also told how she got Aadai and what was her response to the script. She said, “I was shocked when I read it. I was wondering if it was in Tamil or Hindi or English. I was even more shocked that there was a producer who had committed to invest in this film,”

She was shocked when the director Rathna Kumar approached her to narrate the whole script, and she didn't trust him to be an original script. “I asked him if it was a remake of an English film,” the actor said, laughing.

The producer of the film spoke to her about that nude scene but she told him that not to worry about, but on an actual day she was definitely nervous. “It is only when I reached that point, I was feeling stressed. I was anxious to know about what is happening on the sets, who were all going to be there, and if there was security,” she said.

She also revealed how the scene was just shot around 15 people on the sets and it would have been difficult for her to shoot that if she didn't trust them.
