Blackbuck Poaching Case: After conviction and five years imprisonment, no bail for Salman Khan; here are the major developments
Jodhpur trial court on Thursday found Bollywood actor Salman Khan guilty and was sentenced to five years imprisonment in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The other four accused Bollywood actors – Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Neelam were acquitted of all charges.
The trial of the case was in progress since the last 19 years and the court here had reserved the order after the final arguments on March 28.
Salman is accused of killing two blackbucks while he along with his crews Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre and Tabu was shooting for the movie “Hum Saath Saath Hain” in 1998.
“We'll analyze the judgment. We want an immediate appeal to be filed against those who have been acquitted and we also demand maximum punishment for Salman Khan,” said Rampal Bhawad, State President, Bishnoi Tigers Vanya Evam Paryavaran Sanstha
