Shahid Kapoor gets Kabir Singh, biggest hit of his career because of wife Mira Rajput; know how

The success of Kabir Singh has put actor Shahid Kapoor on cloud nine and the film has collected around 235 crores in two weeks. The film is soon going to enter 250 crores club at the domestic box office and the rage continues then it will surely enter 300 crore club.

Shahid Kapoor in a recent interview to Hindustan Times revealed that his wife Mira Rajput encouraged him to take up Kabir Singh. "She was always very optimistic and believed that this is a character I should have in my filmography," he said.

"We had watched Arjun Reddy together and she loved the director's [Sandeep Reddy Vanga] work and felt that the character had potential. And if we were able to get it right, it'd be a very special character in my life. So, Mira was very happy when she watched the film," Kabir Singh actor added.

Let us tell you that Kabir Singh is an official remake of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film Arjun Reddy. Arjun Reddy had Vijay Devarkonda and Shalini Pandey in the leading roles. While in Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani have played leading roles. The actor also said that he is happy with the response to the film and especially when the character is extremely flawed.
