Sandra Oh makes history with Emmy nominations

'Grey's Anatomy' star Sandra Oh has earned an Emmy nomination for Best Actress, thus becoming the first actress of Asian descent to receive a nod in the category.

The 46-year-old star has been nominated for her role as MI5 security officer Eve Polastri in the BBC America thriller drama series, 'Killing Eve', confirmed Variety.

She plays the role of Eve Polastri, an MI5 officer who tails an assassin portrayed by Jodie Comer.
Previously, Sandra was nominated five times for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'Grey's Anatomy' as Cristina Yang.

Born in Canada, Sandra has also featured in several movies including 'The Princess Diaries,' 'Under the Tuscan Sun,' 'Big Fat Liar' and 'Double Happiness.'
