Budget 2019: Big relief! No ‘Income Tax’ for individual taxpayers having annual income upto Rs 5 lakh; 3 crore to recieve benefit

Big relief to middle class people by NDA led BJP government. Acting Finance Minister Piyush Goyal announced no ‘Income Tax’ for individual taxpayers having annual income upto Rs 5 lakh. Over 3 crore people to recieve benefit out of this.

"Individuals with gross income up to 6.5 lakh rupees will not need to pay any tax if they make investments in provident funds and prescribed equities," said Piyush Goyal in the Parliament during budget 2019-20.
