It's widely known that Tamil actor Ilayathalapathy Vijay and director AR Murugadoss are all set to team for a new film, tentatively titled, Vijay 62. The film, an action thriller, is the 62nd film of Vijay's acting career. The film, also marks the third collaboration of Vijay - Murugadoss duo after the success of Thuppakki and Kaththi. The film will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions, who made their Tamil debut with Kaththi.

Though the shooting of the film is yet-to-be-begin, the makers had already locked the release date of the film.

As expected, the Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Murugadoss film will be released on the auspicious occasion of Diwali 2018. It has to be noted that the actor-director's duo previous films, Thuppakki and Kaththi were also released on Diwali season respectively.

Meanwhile, the first look of Murugadoss - Mahesh Babu is expected to be revealed soon. The untitled-film, a Tamil Telugu bilingual also marks the Tamil debut of Mahesh Babu. The film stars Rakul Preet Singh in the lead role.
