Lockdown 3.0: Want to buy non-essential items online? Know who can order, full list inside

In the wake of the spread of coronavirus in the country, the government of India has announced the extension of the COVID-19 lockdown for two more weeks. However, the government has given some sort of relaxation to the districts under the orange or green zone. While districts under the red zone continue to follow the same lockdown rules.

The Indian government is focusing to revive the Indian economy in a planned manner. As per the new directives, the Indian government has suggested that e-commerce companies will now be able to provide non-essential services in all orange and green zones across India. While red zones will still have the restrictions.

As of now, people in an orange or green zone can now place the order for items like smartphones, clothing, books, or other items.

This news has sighed relaxation for e-commerce giants in India viz. Flipkart, Amazon India, and others.

Whereas red zones will only able to buy the essential goods not the non-essentials until the situation gets normal in the areas which have been put under this zone.

Meanwhile, India’s metropolitan cities have been designated as red zones like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
