Badshah feels apologetic on calling Kartik Aaryan an 'overrated actor', says 'Don't know why I named him'

Last year on Karan Johar's show Koffee With Karan, the hit rapper and singer Badshah made a comment on actor Kartik Aaryan. When Karan Johar asked him about any overrated actor, he quipped Kartik Aaryan's name in the rapid-fire round. However, now Badshah himself is making his acting debut with Sonakshi Sinha starrer Khandaani Shafakhana and recently, he accepted that he feels sorry to take Kartik's name.

In a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, the rapper-actor said, "I don't know why I named him, maybe because we were talking about Kartik during the break. It just came out but the fact is that he is a brilliant actor with a very good script sense. When I told Kartik, I was acting, he joked, 'Beta, ab tu dekh,'"

Even when Kartik appeared on Karan's show, he was told by Karan that Badshah called him an 'overrated actor'. Kartik respond to it and said, "Badshah called me overrated? But I love his work. I really appreciate his music,"

"I mean, he's the one who has actually called me after Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and said that 'Paaji, I love your work, and I loved Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety aur meri poori family aapki fan hai.' So I don't know why he said that but I really love his music. I seriously appreciate his work," he added.
