Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp down for 10 hours! Users across the world report issues

Facebook is down since 10 hours across the world and users are facing difficulties. The users are reporting the issues with Facebook on Twitter. Other than Facebook, Users also finding it difficult to access their Instagram account. The problem, first reported on Wednesday night, persisted on Thursday morning. According to reports, WhatsApp is also encountering problems.

According to Downdetector.com, “All four of the company’s main applications – Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger – were encountering problems.”

Both Facebook and Instagram took to Twitter to acknowledge the problem. “We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible,” the official Twitter handle of Facebook stated in a tweet.

"Facebook is down for required maintenance right now, but you should be able to get back on within a few minutes. In the meantime, read more about why you're seeing this message. Thanks for your patience as we improve the site," a message on the website read.

Instagram, meanwhile, tweeted: “We know this is frustrating, and our team is hard at work to resolve this ASAP.” The Facebook crash comes a day after Google’s e-mail website Gmail and Google Drive were hit by their own issues.

Users across the world are finding difficulties in accessing sites or are unable to log in from their accounts. #FacebookDown and #InstagramDown were trending on Twitter since Wednesday late night. Users facing issues like uploading photographs, adding statuses or adjusting particular pages were not working.
