Shocking! ‘Gaal Ni Kadni’ singer Parmish Verma shot by a man at Mohali in Punjab

The popular Punjabi singer Parmish Verma known was his hit number 'Gaal ni Kadni' and his friend was shot in Mohali by some unidentified assailants on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.

Both Parmish and his friend are hospitalised, undergoing a treatment in Fortis Hospital, Mohali and are out of danger. A police source has said Verma’s knee was injured in the firing.

"Some unidentified persons fired shots at Parmish last night at Sector 91 in Mohali when he was returning home. A bullet hit his leg," Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Chahal said.

Parmrish Verma's popular hit 'Gaal ni kadni' was a superhit and have viewed more than 118 millions on YouTube. The popularity of the singer in a very short time let he coincides with the local gangsters in the last few months.

Parrish's recent single 'Shada' has also turned out to be another hit, with nearby 27 million views on his Youtube channel. It was released just three weeks ago.

While one man has come forward claiming that he shot the duo. The named Dilpreet Singh Dhahan is claiming to be the shooter behind the Parmish's shooting. He uploaded a status on his Facebook page, along with a picture of himself holding a pistol and another picture of Verma with a cross drawn on it.

“Mein dilpreet Singh dhahan sariya nu dasna chaunda k ajj parmish verma de goliya bazian apa mariya.(I, Dilpreet Singh Dhahan, want to tell everyone that I am behind the shooting of Parmish Verma),” the post claims. The post has been shared 41 times.

A case has been registered in this regard, police said, adding that investigation was underway, and will take statements from the injured.
