Days following a video of Sadhvi Pragya Thakur playing basketball went viral, the BJP MP is now seen busting some moves at a wedding she helped arrange. The clip have magnetize comments from the oppositions on the politician who has eluded court appearance in the Malegaon blast case pointing to her poor health condition.

The recent clip is from a twin marrage of a young women belonging to a poor family, the wedding took place at BJP MP’s Bhopal residence. Pragya Thakur, aged 51, is spotted dancing during the celebration and asking others to join her.

According to the brides they were "very happy" and felt blessed.

One of the brides’ father, a daily wage labourer, stated that he was filled with gratitude towards the BJP leader as he did not have resources to organise the event.

"I feel like I have been given a second life. I am very poor. I did not have enough to marry my daughters. But Pragya Thakur helped us. I pray to mother goddess for her long life. I am very happy and grateful," he said.

The video of BJP leader shaking her legs, however, called forth mockery from Congress leader Narendra Saluja.

"Whenever we see the Bhopal MP, sister Pragya Thakur, play basketball and walking without support or dancing happily like this, it makes us happy...?" - wrote Narendra Saluja.

 

Earlier, the Congress spokesperson had posted a clip of Sadhvi Pragya shooting hoops and had written, "We had only just seen Bhopal MP Pragya Thakur in a wheelchair but today, we feel very happy to see her trying her hand at basketball at the Bhopal stadium...So far we knew she couldn't walk or even stand properly because of an injury...? May god always keep her healthy..."

 

Pragya Thakur, who is well known for making controversial statements that have often disconcerted her party BJP, is an accused in the Malegaon blasts 2008 and is out on bail. The BJP MP was incarcerated for nine years before her bail in 2017.
