“Probably, he doesn’t know that he had tweeted the name of the girl whose father’s name he mentioned in Manali two months ago. I was among the crowd but did not get an opportunity to meet him,” says Thakur.

Roshan Thakur said that he was still in touch with PM Modi. In 2012, when Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he had called him to visit the Adventure Sports Institute in Saputara.

Anchal's father Roshan Thakur is the General Secretary of the Winter Games Federation of India.

In the recent Himachal Pradesh election campaign, PM Modi mentioned this incident in a rally. In the rally, Modi had mentioned that he is the fan of Paragliding of Manali, long ago he had come here and enjoyed it.

Significantly, it is India's first medal in skiing at the international level. On Tuesday, 21-year-old Aanchal won this medal in a competition organized at PalanDoken Ski Center.
