Weather: Rainfall expected in Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan on March 30, 31

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted a fresh spell of rainfall and thunderstorm over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan from March 29 night.

The rainfall and thunderstorm activities are likely over the northeast and east India during next two days.

Western Disturbance

A fresh western disturbance is expected to affect Northwest India from March 29 night. Under the influence Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan is expected to receive light rainfall from March 29 to March 30.

Isolated places of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgrah, Tamil Nadu, will receive moderate rainfall on March 29-30.

Moderate rainfall is expected in Southern India on March 26-29. Isolated places in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Puducherry are expected to receive moderate rainfall from March 26 and 29.

Moderate rainfall is predicted to continue in Northeast India from March 26-29. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya is likely to receive rainfall from March 26-27.

Weather Observed In Last 24 Hours

Light to moderate rainfall observed in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam in the last 24 hours.

Whereas some parts of Punjab, West Bengal, Sikkim, and isolated places of Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar received light showers during the same duration. Hailstorm was recorded in isolated places of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in the last 24 hours.

Maximum Temperature

In the last 24 hours, the daytime temperature was in the range of 26-30 degrees Celsius in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and northern parts of Rajasthan. In southern parts of Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand the temperature was in the range of 30-36 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature in Western Himalayan Region and northeast India was in the range of 16-24 degrees Celsius.

Maximum Temperature Forecast

The weather department predicted no significant change in the maximum temperature in the country for five days.

However, gradual rise of 2-4 degrees Celsius in daytime temperature is expected in West and Central India in next four days.
