A bear has fallen into a well in the Vellanad area of rural Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, ANI reported on April 20. Local residents spotted the bear and immediately informed the police and forest department.

It is assumed that the bear had strayed into the residential area at night and fell into the well.

Officials from the police and forest department have reached the spot and are currently trying to rescue the wild animal from the well.

However, the rescue operation is taking time as the well is full of water.
