'Strap Opposition leaders on rocket and launch them to Balakot,' says Devendra Fadnavis on demand of proof

As the polling for the third phase of election in underway, Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has taken a hit at the Opposition leaders and took a jibe at the “mahakhichadi” (Grand Alliance) for asking evidence of the air strike across LoC in Balakot.

Addressing a rally in Maharashtra’s Virar, Fadnavis slammed the Congress led Opposition for demanding evidence of the Balakot strike and not withholding with the Armed forces.

Fadnavis said, “What can one say about the mahakhichadi? Instead of acknowledging the role of the armed forces which gave a befitting reply to the (Pulwama) terror attack, they are questioning them. It is unfortunate.”

While jumping the gun, Fadnavis added in his speech that all those leaders must be sent back to Balakot via rocket launch, who ask for proof.

“If we had known that the mahakhichadi would demand such proof, we would have strapped their leaders to the rockets sent to Balakot, to see it with their own eyes,” said BJP leader.

Maharashtra is seeing the battle of two national parties contesting with the aid of alliance, wherein the BJP has tied up with the ally Shiv Sena, who remained disgruntled with the ruling BJP due to its several unfulfilled promises. The Congress has tied up with Sharad Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party for the 2019 polls. Congress also changed its Mumbai chief, the post was handed over to Milind Deora from Sanjay Nirupam and the former is contesting from South Mumbai.

The result of the elections will be declared on May 23.
