Rahul hugs Modi: Mumbai Congress put up posters Rahul Gandhi hugging PM Modi; cations it, 'nafrat se nai, pyar se jeetenge'

As the Congress chief Rahul Gandhi hugging PM Narendra Modi in the Parliament during the no-trust motion is being widely surfaced on the internet. Now, the Mumbai Congress had moved the head and put up posters of Rahul hugging PM Modi in Mumbai's Andheri area.

The poster, which was originally shared by Mumbai Congress president Sanjay Nirupam on his Twitter handle, reads, “Nafrat se nai, pyar se jeetenge (we will win through love, not hatred).”

On Friday, during the debate on the Opposition-sponsored no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi after concluding his speech, he went to the PM Modi and hugged him. A moment before hugging him in the Lok Sabha, Gandhi gave a fiery speech, he said, “You can call me Pappu, give me names, but I will never have hatred for you.”

However, the BJP defeat the opposition's no trust motion. While the Congress lauded Rahul’s “unscripted” gesture, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said the “drama” was against Parliament decorum. Taking a dig at Gandhi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said the hug reminded him of the Chipko Movement in Uttarakhand.

During the no-trust motion discussion, Rahul had targeted the government on issues like mob lynchings, agrarian crisis, corruption and crony capitalism. Gandhi also lashed out on BJP-government of lying about a secrecy clause in the Rafale deal with France. Responding to the Rahul Gandhi's statement, the French government, however, confirmed that a secrecy pact exists between the two countries.
