Rafale deal row: Submit pricing and strategic details of Rafale aircraft in 10 days, Supreme Court asks Centre

The Supreme Court asked Centre to give details of the pricing and strategic details of Rafale aircraft in a sealed cover to the court within 10 days.  The Supreme Court directed the Central government to disclose information on Rafale deal which can be legitimately put in public domain and information on induction of Indian offset partner be furnished to petitioners who have filed PILs.

Earlier, the top court has asked centre to furnish details of its decision-making process in a sealed cover,  clarifying that it would not get into "pricing or suitability" of the jets.

"We would like the details of pricing and cost to be submitted to the Supreme Court in a sealed cover. This may be submitted in the next 10 days," said a bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi.

The top court is hearing pleas, including those filed by former Union Ministers Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie, into the deal for Rafale jets between India and France.
