Pak intruder shot dead by BSF in Rajasthan

BSF jawans shot down an intruder who tried to enter Indian territory at the international border in Rajasthan on December 5 night, adjacent to Karanpur in Sri Ganganagar.

According to a senior BSF officer, the incident took place in 14 S village, near Sriganganagar’s Harmukh check, as quoted by ANI.

"Alert BSF troops neutralised an intruder coming from Pakistan at the international border near Harmukh check post on Monday. The intruder crossed over to the Indian side and started moving towards the fence. The body was recovered during the search operation," he said on Monday.

However, The Pakistan Rangers have refused to take the body of the unknown intruder, as per ANI sources.

The officer further added that the BSF troops, who were on patrolling duty, warned the intruder not to move forward, but he ignored the warning and kept moving towards the fence. Finally, the troops nutralised the man and foiled the infiltration attempt.

"We have informed Pakistan rangers about the incident but they are verifying the identity of the intruder. If they refused to accept the body then it will be cremated as per protocol. We are waiting for official confirmation or denial from the Pakistan side," the official said, as quoted by ANI.

The BSF jawans have cordoned off the area, and search operation is underway.
