NSA Ajit Doval's son Vivek Doval files defamation suit against Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, The Caravan's editor & reporter for a story

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval’s son Vivek Doval has filed a defamation case against Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, The Caravan’s Editor-in-Chief and the reporter Kaushal Sharoff.

Earlier, a story was published in The Caravan magazine where it was alleged that Vivek Doval had been siphoning off money post demonetization through illegal ways. But, a report in The Caravan had made news.

The news agency ANI tweeted, “National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval' son, Vivek Doval moves Delhi's Patiala House Court in a criminal defamation complaint against Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, Editor-in-Chief of Caravan Magazine and Kaushal Sharoff (reporter). Court to hear the matter tomorrow.”

The Congress party has alleged that 'Vivek Doval started a hedge fund in Cayman Islands days after demonetisation and demanded a probe by the RBI into FDI inflows from the tax haven. Jairam Ramesh had also asked the RBI to make public the details of FDI inflows of the Cayman islands sicne demonetisation, which he which he claimed were to the tune of Rs 8,300 crore during 2017-18 and equalled total funds flowing into India between 2000 to 2017.'
