No personal interview in Andhra Pradesh government jobs, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy takes historic decision

A big relief has given by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for aspirants who want to be a government employee. CM Reddy-led government has decided to end the personal interviews for the recruitment of staff.

Therefore, the selection for the government jobs in the state will be done via the paper mode exam only.

“Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken a historic decision to do away with personal interviews in recruitment. He has directed the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to conduct the recruitment process in a transparent and foolproof manner," a circular issued from the chief minister's office reads.

CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday conducted a review meeting on the proposed annual recruitment calendar for filling the vacant positions in the government sector.

Last month, CM had also announced that the government job examination for the recruitment to various posts will be held from January 1 to 31 every year.

Accordingly, Chief Secretary L V Subrahmanyam directed all government departments to list the vacancies.

Priority would be given to fill vacant posts in departments rendering emergency services to citizens.

As per the reports of news agency PTI, CMO release said that the chief minister wants to involve experts from IITs and IIMs for the recruitment process.

“The chief minister wanted the Commission to ensure the whole process to be conducted in a foolproof and transparent manner to avoid legal hassles,” the release added.
