Man arrested for posing as Gujarat CMO official, raping woman under pretext of giving job

A man was arrested in Vadodara for allegedly posing a government official of the Gujarat Government and raping a woman in the pretext of giving her a job. The accused has been identified as Viraj Patel.

According to ACP AV Katkad, Viraj posed himself as an official of Gujarat CMO and president of the Gujarat International Finance Tee-City in front of the woman.

Police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections, and an investigation has been initiated.

Cops are also ascertaining whether the accused has cheated anyone else by posing as a Gujarat government official."
