Haryana poll results: BJP state President Subhash Barala offers to quit as party struggles to reach majority

BJP state President Subhash Barala has express readiness to quit, as the party struggles to reach the majority, contrary to what they had expected. Subhash Barala was also trailing in his Tohana assembly constituency, where Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) is ahead.

Nevertheless, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has requested the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to the national capital.

The BJP made every effort to maintain its advantage as it hung around 40 seats in leads, the Congress led in 31 seats and is said to be in discussion with Dushyant Chautala led Jannayak Janata Party (JJP).

Seven ministers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were trailing and the party was far away from the ‘Mission 75’ mark it had set up.

"We will try to introspect why fell short of the target we had set for ourselves," BJP vice president Vinay Sahasrabuddhe told NDTV.
