Accidents due to drunk and drive have been tremendously increased in India and no proper action has been taken to avoid such accidents massively. But, a 22-year-old Hyderabadi man has invented a unique thing which will help in avoiding road accidents.

Sai Teja from Hyderabad who didn’t even pursue higher education after completing his class 10th has invented a new smart system for vehicles which will help to avoid road accidents by detecting driver’s alcohol consumption.

As per the ANI reports, the detector made by Sai can sense whether the driver has consumed alcohol or not and accordingly restrict the vehicle’s engine. Not only this, but his newly invented device will also send an SMS alert to the configured mobile numbers.

While speaking with ANI Teja said that ‘I stopped studying after 10th class due to some reasons, but was interested in electronics and use to gain knowledge from the internet. Learnt to code from internet and invented a new alcohol detector which restricts the vehicle engine to start if the driver has consumed more than 30 per cent of alcohol.’

He also told about his device that an SMS alert will be sent to the numbers saved by micro-controller in the device with vehicle number. Sai also said that it took 15 days to invents this device. Moreover, the price of the device is Rs 2500, he told.
