SBI PO Jobs 2020: Application form to be released this month; check important update

The State Bank of India, SBI is expected to release the job notification for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) on its official website. Interested candidates should keep their eyes on the official website of SBI.

According to the reports doing the rounds, SBI is likely to release the recruitment drive for the PO post in July 2020.

Every year, SBI releases SBI PO notification in April. This year, the notification was delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak across the country.

Therefore, candidates who are eagerly waiting to apply for the government bank job should visit the official website on a regular basis.

To apply for the post of SBI PO, candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria.

SBI PO Eligibility Criteria 2020:

Educational Qualification:

As per SBI criteria, candidates need to be graduated in any discipline to apply for the post of Probationary Officer. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview round.

Candidates having a Chartered Accountant (CA) certificate can also apply for the post.

Age Criteria

The minimum age limit required to apply for the post is 21 years while the maximum age limit is 30 years. There will be age relaxation to reserved category as per government norms.

Application Fee:

  • For General/EWS/OBC- Rs 750
  • For SC/ST/PWD- Rs 125

Selection Procedure:

SBI PO exam comprised three stages i.e. preliminary examination, mains, and Group Exercises & Interviews. Candidates who will qualify all the stages will be selected for the post of SBI PO.

SBI PO Paper Pattern:

The preliminary examination consists of 100 objective type questions divided into three sections. The total duration of the exam in one hour.

While the main examination comprises of objective and subjective questions. The total marks for the test are 250. The duration of the main exam is three hours thirty minutes.

While The Group Exercises and Interview carry 50 marks.

Candidates should note that prelims exam marks will not be counted for the merit list. The final selection to the post of SBI PO will be done on the basis of mains exam and Group Exercises and Interview.

Pay Scale:

Selected candidates will get the basic salary of Rs 27,620 (with four advance increments). The pay scale for Junior Management Grade Scale I is 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7- 42020.
