Telangana shocker: Family hires hitmen to strangle son to death

In a recent development coming in from Telangana, state police have apprehended seven members of a family for hiring contract killers to strangle a 26-year-old alcoholic and unemployed member to death after getting fed up with the constant harassment due to his actions. The arrested people include the man’s parents and uncles.

The shocking incident happened on October 18 at the Kallepalli Maisamma temple in Miryalaguda Mandal of Telangana’s Khammam, where the family members of 26-year-old Kshatriya Sainath had hired hitmen to murder him.

Police said, the victim, identified as Sainath, a native of Satthupalli of Khammam district, was murdered by seven members of his family, which included his parents, Ram Singh, and Rani Bai, and two uncles.

As maintained by the Huzurnagar police inspector, five people strangled Sainath to death and dumped his dead body in the Musi River after putting it in the deceased’s car.

According to police, the floating body was first seen by locals and police on October 19 and a case was filed.

During the investigation, the movement of an SUV was recorded by the surveillance cameras at the Damchelapally toll plaza.

The state police said after 10 days, the parents came to the hospital in Huzurnagar and identified their son, and the body was handed over to them.

“We called them to the police station yesterday and they came in the same XUV car which was suspected to be moving at the scene of offence on October 18,” police said.

“During interrogation, it was revealed that five men were hired by the parents for Rs 8 lakh to kill their son. Also, uncles were involved in the incident. The accused have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody,” police said.

The police have confiscated four cars, a bike, plastic rope and Rs 23,500 cash used in the crime.
