Coronavirus India death toll 68, COVID-19 positive cases exceed 3,000

India is facing the 11th day of the lockdown and the total number of positive cases for Coronavirus has exceeded 3000 and the death toll climbed to 68 on Saturday, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

According to the reports of news agency ANI, there has been a spike of 355 cases in the country in the last 12 hours.

Amid this chaos, a new report has been shared by a top US scientist, who has warned that coronavirus could be spread through normal breathing. Hence, he recommended everyone to wear masks after a surge in the death tolls in the country.

Even US President Donald Trump also briefed media in White House that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) was urging people to wear face coverings like scarves or homemade cloth masks but to keep medical-grade masks available for health workers.

"The CDC is not recommending the use of medical-grade or surgical-grade masks. Those need to be used for medical people working to save the lives of Americans. Medical protective gear must be reserved for the front-line healthcare workers who are performing those vital services," Trump said. However, Trump added that he will not follow that guidance.

He stated the reason behind his denial, "Somehow sitting in the Oval Office behind that beautiful Resolute Desk, the great Resolute Desk, I think wearing a face mask as I greet presidents, dictators, kings, queens, I don't know, I don't see it for myself," he said.

The worldwide data showed that cases of infection rose to 1 million and deaths claimed over 58,000 and 228,975 people have been recovered so far, according to the data of worldometer website.
