UPSC Civil Service 2019: Good news! Now cancel your submitted application form if not prepared for exam; here’s how

It must be a good news for the UPSC aspirants who are preparing for the Civil Services examination and also applied for the examination but think that they are not prepared for the exam then they can cancel their application form.

As per the reports, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) would allow candidates to cancel their application form after filling up the application as the UPSC allows candidates to withdraw their application form and also save their attempt for further. Many times it happens that candidates apply for the exam but not prepare and have to appear for the exam, also their chance to appear for the exam also waste. However, fees will not be refunded by UPSC, said reports.

This new proposal will come into effect from the 2019 Engineering Services Examination. Reportedly, the UPSC has taken this decision after some candidates wished to cancel their applications for the examination. Therefore, the Board decided to allow students to cancel their application.

 

Here’s how to withdraw the submitted UPSC applications:

1. Open the official website of UPSC at upsc.nic.in
2. Look for the link which shows to withdraw the application
3. Before filling the request for application withdraw, read the instructions carefully
4. Submit your request for the form cancellation by submitting your application registration id
5. You will get the OTP on your registered mobile number to access the application
6. Cancellation will be confirmed after you enter your One Time Password
7. Don’t forget to take a printout of the receipt slip for future use

Candidates must remember that after the cancellation of the application form it can not be filled again.

Meanwhile, the link for cancellation of a form will be active from 29th October 2018 to 5th November 2018 (till 6:00 pm).
