DU cut off list 2019 Released! Hindu College announces highest cut-off for political science; here’s complete merit list

Wait over! The University of Delhi has finally released the first cut-off list for admission to undergraduate (UG) courses on its official website at du.ac.in.

As per the notification released by DU, several North and South campus colleges of DU including SRCC, Hansraj College, Kirori Mal College, Miranda House, Jesus and Mary College, Gargi College, PGDAV Satyawati College, Mata Sundari College for Women, and Shivaji College have released their first cut-off lists.

For Science Courses:

The Hindu College has announced its highest cut-off at 98.3 percent for Physics honors and 97.75 percent for Science honors and Mathematics.

Also, DU has released the highest score of 99 percent for political science honors, a slight increase over last year.

For Economics honors:

One of the top colleges of DU, Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) has announced a cut-off of 98.75 percent.

Know more first cut-off details released by various colleges of DU:

1. Lady Sri Ram College:

Cut-off list for courses like BA and Psychology honors touched at 97 percent and 98.75 percent.

2. Delhi College of Arts and Commerce:

The college has released the highest cut-off for Journalism at 98.50 percent.

3. Kirori College:

For admission to B.Com honors, the cut-off is 98.50.

4. Hansraj College:

Hansraj College has increased marginally 0.5 percent in a few of its programmes like BA Economic honors. For BA English (Hons), cut off for general candidates is 97.25. For BA Economics (Hons) is 98.5 whole for Bcom, the cut off is 98.25 percent.

Till June 22, 2019, as many as 3,67,895 candidates had registered for DU admission process and only 2,58388 could make payments, said reports.

As per the data, 84,021 female candidates and 68,457 male candidates applied for the unreserved category. Also,  32,926 male candidates and 22,531 female candidates applied for admission under the Other Backward Class (OBC) non-creamy layer quota.

While 4,044 male applicants and 3,056 female applicants have applied from Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. From Scheduled Caste (SC) quota, over 17,000 male candidates and over 16,000 female aspirants applied for admissions.

Under the recently introduced quota for Economically Weaker Section, around 5,528 male and 3,562 candidates applied for DU admission process.

Also, the only candidate from the third gender category applied for admission.

After the introduction of the EWS category, DU has increased 10 percent intake under Undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

As per the new changes, the number of seats for undergraduate courses has increased to 62,000. There will also be separate cut-offs for the EWS category.

  • First Cut off-- June 28, 2019
  • Second Cut off- -July 4, 2019
  • Third Cut off --July 9, 2019
  • Fourth Cut off -- July 15, 2019
  • Fifth cut off --July 20, 2019
