Watch: Kieron Pollard hits ‘own four’, collides with advertisement screen for damage control

Mumbai Indians’ Kieron Pollard is an amazing fielder when it comes to fielding at deep. Last night was not so good for Pollard as he went for some runs while fielding. The West Indian legend was part of a funny incident that took place in the second innings of the game.

In the 4th over of the innings Jasprit Bumrah was bowling his spell and Wriddhiman Saha was at strike. Sunrisers Hyderabad were 36 for no loss. Saha hit a ball towards deep-mid wicket, Pollard ran for it but because of fitness issue he couldn’t dive or bend. So, he tried stopping it with his leg but ended up hitting it for a boundary. Pollard immediately realised that he did a big mistake and to do damage control he deliberately collided with the advertisement board.

Mumbai Indians won the match after it went into a super over. In the second innings Manish Pandey managed to take the match to the last over and when it was seven required from one ball he hit it for a six to draw the match and give his team one more chance.

This was second match in Indian Premier League 2019 that went into a super over. A match between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders was the first one to go into the super over and it was eventually won by the home side Delhi. Last night’s match between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad was also won by the home side at Wankhede.
