Ind vs Aus: Rishabh Pant did what MS Dhoni couldn't, makes this record as wicket-keeper batsman

Indian batsman Rishabh Pant on Friday became the first Indian wicket-keeper to score a Test hundred in Australia.

His centurion knock on Day 2 of the ongoing fourth Test against Australia also made him the first Indian wicket-keeper to score two centuries at the age of 21 or before.

The right-hand batsman had scored a record ton against England as well when he became the first Indian keeper to score a Test century against them, last year.

The record list for Pant does not end here as he is also the highest scorer for India as a wicket-keeper in Australia. He surpassed former Indian keeper Farokh Engineer's score of 89 runs at Adelaide in 1967-68 to achieve the feat.

Meanwhile, India have crossed the 600-mark on Day 2 of their ongoing Test series in Australia. India declared at 622-7 after Ravindra Jadeja got out at 81. Pant remained not out at 159 runs.

Earlier in the Day, when Cheteshwar Pujara and Hanuma Vihari was continuing their knock Pujara made a mammoth 193 runs and Vihari got out at 42 runs.
