Akshay is apparently going easy with promotions of his film Toilet -Ek Prem Katha

 Akshay Kumar has been promoting his film Toilet Ek Prem Katha just 20 days prior to its release. The actor was shooting for his another film Gold which stars Mouni Roy in London. However it is said that the actor chose to start promotions little late because he is confident of his film. A source says, “Akshay’s past few films have been earning good films at box office due to its content. With this film too Akshay is confident that it will be liked by people since the subject is like this. He feels that there is no need for his team to go out of their way and over promote it. He has been getting good response and feels that the film too will get positive feedback. So he started promotions closer to its release.”

 Akshay’s last year’s Independence Day release was Rustom, which released with Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro. The film got mixed reviews but it went on to become a hit and ended entering in Rs. 100 crore club within 15 days of its release. Akshay later received National Award for his performance. This year too has started well for Akshay as his film Jolly LLB 2 more than Rs. 110 crore at box office.

 This time around Akshay’s film was going to clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Harry Met Sejal but Shah Rukh averted it by shifting the date and releasing one week prior to Akshay’s film.
