A disabled man accidentally fell onto subway tracks in New York. However, the major accident was averted after a Samaritan showed exemplary courage and rescue the man.

The incident took place at Union Square in New York City in the early afternoon of August 4.

The wheelchair-bound man fell onto the railway tracks when the train was approaching.

Someone rightly said, “one who is protected by God, can’t be killed by anyone.” The good Samaritan spotted the man and jumped on the tracks without thinking about his life. He picked up the disabled man and then helped him back on the platform. Other people standing at the platform were also seen helping both men seconds before the train arrived.

The video was shared on Twitter with a caption, “This afternoon in Union Square a man in a wheelchair somehow ended up on the subway tracks. Luckily, a Good Samaritan jumped down and rescued the man about 10s before the train came into the station. Huge shoutout to whoever the guy is who jumped down to help! #subwaycreatures”

Meanwhile, the man is hailed for his heroic act on a social media platform.

According to the police, the incident took place around 01:30 pm on Wednesday. The wheelchair-bound man has been admitted to the Bellevue hospital for a medical examination. However, he was conscious and was in stable condition, reported NY Post.

It is not clear how the man fell onto the tracks.

Meanwhile, the man who saved the disabled man is grabbing headlines for his bravery. Social media users are demanding a medal for his courageous act.

One of the users wrote, “This is the only Good thing about NYC. We have some of the bravest people out there. So much love and respect for this man.”
