Sakhavu : Nivin Pauly starrer confirmed for Vishu release

Nivin Pauly's upcoming film, Sakhavu finally gets a release date. Written and directed by actor-turned-director Sidhartha Siva, Sakhavu is produced by B Rakesh under the banner of Universal Cinema. A campus-political entertainer, the film stars Gayathri Suresh, Aparna Gopinath and Aishwarya Rajesh in female lead roles. Veteran actor Sreenivasan essays a significant role in the film.

There were earlier reports that the makers of Sakhavu are eyeing the auspicious occasion of Vishu for its theatrical release. And now it has been officially confirmed that the political drama will hit the screens on 15 April, a day next to Vishu.


With Sakhavu being confirmed as Vishu release it will be a star-studded month on April as Mammootty starrer The Great Father, Mohanlal starrer 1971 Beyond Borders and Dileep's Gerorgettan's Pooram are slated to hit the screens two weeks prior to Vishu.

Sakhavu is based on the story of the young political worker, Krishna Kumar and how his life changes upside down after a medical college visit. Nivin Pauly portrays the role of Krishna Kumar in the film. The film also also stars Joju George, Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu and KPAC Lalitha.
