SBI PO Prelims 2017: Today is the last day to apply for preliminary examination
If anyone is looking for an opportunity to work as probationary officer in the State Bank of Inida (SBI), today is the last date to apply. The preliminary examination will be held in the last week of April and first week of May. The bank will recruit 2313 POs.
A PO holds the position of an Assistant Manager (AM) on probation and is part of the junior management.
Eligibility criteria for candidates: Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
Age: Between 21 years and 30 years as on 1 April.
Application fees:
General and OBC: Rs 600 (non refundable)
SC/ST/PWD: Rs 100 (non refundable)
Steps to register for SBI PO 2017
Make sure you have a valid and active email ID and an uploaded scanned photo
Visit: sbi.co.in/careers or statebankofindia.com/careers
Register yourself online through Bank’s website
Pay the application fee using debit card/ credit card/Internet Banking
Fill the application carefully and note down the registration number and password
Download the call letters for online preliminary examination.
Format of examination
The preliminary exam will be an online objective exam divided into three sections — English Language, Quantitative Aptitude (Maths) and Reasoning Ability. You are required to attempt 100 questions in one hour. There is negative marking provision also.
Advice
Attempt mock test and work on time management skill and speed.
Make sure that you don't mark wrong answers unnecessarily and lose marks due to negative marking.
The result will be released on 22 May.
