Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar turns 44 today, MI to celebrate his birthday at Wankhede

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar turned 44 today and Indial Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians has got some special plans for the iconic player. The right-handed batsman took birth in Mumbai on April 24, 1973.

The grand celebration of Sachin's birthday will take place at the Wankhede stadium.

"Mumbai Indians would be celebrating Sachin's birthday at the Wankhede stadium tomorrow where the team will be taking on Rising Pune Supergiant in IPL encounter," an MI source told PTI.

Tendulkar will be present for the game, he added.

Mumbai Indians, who have been on a roll after winning six games on the trot, will look to give a perfect gift to Tendulkar by clinching another win.

Meanwhile, the Legends Club in Mumbai has also organised a programme to mark the little master's birthday at the Cricket Club of India in south Mumbai.

Former Baroda and Mumbai player Vasu Paranjpe, who was present when Tendulkar made a century on his Ranji Trophy debut for Mumbai, will speak on the occasion.

Little master Tendulkar is revered as the God of cricket and this day marks a special significance in lives of the ardent cricket fans.

The iconic batsman, whose name was enough to send shiver of fear in Opposition, has got many records to his name in his decorated career of 24 years.

The celebrated cricketer has scored 100 international centuries and most international runs.
