Sridevi’s film has averted clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s Jagga Jasoos and Shraddha Kapoor’s Haseena

 Sridevi took some time to sign her second project after making a successful comeback in English Vinglish in 2012. The actress is going to be seen in Mom, which is produced by Boney Kapoor. This thriller drama also stars Akshay Khanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and two Pakistani actors Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui. The film has been shot in Delhi and Georgia and it has been directed by Ravi Udyawar. The makers released the first look of the film earlier this month and announced the release date July 14. Now it seems they have changed their mind and decided to release it one week earlier on July 7.

 It is said that the decision was taken to avoid a box office clash with Shraddha Kapoor starrer Haseena, is a biopic of underworld don Dawood Ibraham’s Sister Haseena Parkar. The film is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and they had announced the release date July 14, much in advance.

 Later Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos, which wrapped up recently declared their new release date July 14. The film is directed by Anurag Basu and it has been in making from past few years. Ranbir who also co-produces the film and even after declaring different release dates, it could not be released. In the beginning of this year, after launching the first look, it was announced that it will release on April 7 but the makers again decided to re-shoot some portions and the new release date has been decided once again.
