Sonam replies to Abhay Deol's criticism of stars endorsing fairness products

 Abhay Deol took on his fellow actors for endorsing fairness lotions and tagged them with pictures. One of the pictures had Sonam featuring in L’Oreal. His post read, “Um..this one’s kinda hard to defend as it does say on the side of the packaging- “Indian women agree, skin looks visibly fairer:88%.” But L’Oreal is an international brand; do they show the same racism around the world that they are clearly showing here in India?”

 The actress decided to respond to him and wrote, “Thank you Abhay, I shot this campaign ten years ago and didn’t understand the ramifications. Thank you for bringing this to the forefront.”

 However their conversation did not end here, Sonam then posted a picture of Esha Deol in similar commercial and said, “I appreciate and concur with your views and would like to know your thoughts on this as well.”

 But Abhay was quick to reply to this post and said, “Is wrong too. For my views read my post. More power to you @sonamakapoor maybe you can use your power as well to take this further than the forefront. 

 Abhay and Sonam worked together in two films Aisha, after which they were said to have not shared a great rapport. However they were once again seen in Anand L Rai's Raanjhanaa and it looks like now they have decided to let bygones be bygones.
