The makers claim that they are set to release Padmavati on the date initially decided upon.

There have been a lot of speculations about the release date of Padmavati ever since Sanjay Leela Bhansali had to stop his shoot in Rajasthan a few months ago after the Rajput Karni Sena’s attack on the sets. The director had started the first schedule of the film last year with Shahid Kapoor and was supposed to shoot major chunk of the film in Rajasthan. There was a buzz that he might not be able to release the film in November, as they are running behind schedule, because of the unfortunate incident and stalling of the shoot. A source says, “Now makers have clarified that the crew has already resumed the shoot and they are expected to wrap it up on time and they will stick to the release date of November 17.”

Padmavati is produced by Viacom 18 and it stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the leading roles. The crew is right now shooting with Deepika  and Shahid is likely to join them soon. Last month the director again faced some hurdles while shooting in interiors of Maharashtra when a group of men set his set on fire. In spite of these issues, the shoot is back on track.
