Former President of Pakistan, Gen. (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf has said that all the corrupt politicians of Pakistan should be thrown out, reported Pakistan's English daily, The Express Tribune.

Addressing a rally in Karachi via phone from Dubai, Musharraf accused the ruling PML-N politicians of speaking against the judiciary and the Army.

He accused them of creating chaos in the country, and urged the Supreme Court to take notice of the situation.

"Pakistan Army is the defender of the country and it has served in all times of difficulties while guarding the borders," The Express Tribune quoted Musharraf as saying.

He said his political party, the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), will stitch an alliance with the nationalist PML-Functional and other like-minded parties.

Participants of the rally were reportedly carrying placards with messages supporting the army. The Express Tribune reported that the crowd raised slogans against Nawaz Sharif's PML-N and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari-led PPP.

The 74-year-old reportedly said that he will fight corruption if his party is voted to power in the next general elections, which are expected in the later half of next year.

The Pakistan daily also reported Musharraf as saying that the country is facing serious threats because of the flawed policies of the present rulers.

Asserting that Pakistan is on the verge of collapse, Musharraf said that the country is being run on loans with national exchequers almost dried up.
