#RacismInAustralia : Viral video shows Apple store denying entry to students of colour

Speed News Desk | Updated on: 13 February 2017, 8:38 IST

If anyone was STILL living under the delusion that racial profiling is a thing of the past, this should permanently bring them back to reality.

A video currently doing the rounds on social media shows six boys trying to get into the store even as the security guards and a staff member denies them entry.

And if that isn't discrimination on the basis of skin colour, perhaps you need to lose your rose-tinted glasses. These students who go to Maribyrnong College, Melbourne, are heard asking why they were being denied entry to which the staff says, "these guys are just a bit worried about your presence in our store...that you might steal something."

As a boy in the video retorts back, WHY would they steal something? Also, why did the store staff assume they would without cause or provocation? Racist, much?
