PM Modi pays floral tribute to WWII victims at Piskaryovskoye Cemetery

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day visit to Russia on 1 June paid floral tributes to the World War II victims at the Piskaryovskoye Cemetery in St. Petersburg.

After paying tributes, the Prime Minister signed the visitor's book at the cemetery

Later in the day, Prime Minister Modi will be received by Russian President Vladimir Putin where two leaders will interact with the CEOs of both nations and review the decisions taken during the summit in Goa, October last year.

The Prime Minister is here to attend the 18th Indo-Russia Annual Summit which aims to being closer economic ties between the two countries.

The Prime Minister will address the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) together with President Putin on 2 June.

The Prime Minister's Russia visit comes in the backdrop of both nations celebrating 70th Anniversary of their diplomatic relation.
