Next Pakistan-Afghanistan talks on Feb 9-10

The second round of the bilateral talks between Afghanistan and Pakistan is scheduled to take place on February 9 and 10 in Islamabad.

Islamabad">Islamabad and Kabul have decided to continue holding discussions to reach an agreement on the entire Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity (APAPPS).

The ministry of foreign affairs of Afghanistan in a statement said "A high-level Pakistani delegation comprising of senior civilian and military officials led by Foreign Secretary of Pakistan Ms. Tehmina Janjua visited Kabul today to hold discussion with their Afghan counterparts led by Deputy Foreign Minister Hekmat Khalil Karzai on Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity (APAPPS)."

"The meeting was held in a cordial environment and both delegations made some progress on the APAPPS," the statement added.

According to Afghan's ministry of foreign affairs, the next meeting will take place on February 9th and 10th 2018 in Islamabad">Islamabad, reported Khaama Press.

Yesterday's meeting came in the backdrop of a series of deadly attacks in Afghanistan allegedly by Pakistan.

Kabul has also accused Islamabad">Islamabad of harboring the Taliban.

The APAPPS is a joint action plan for cooperation in the areas of counter-terrorism and reduction of violence, peace and reconciliation, refugees repatriation and joint economic development.
