Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the Left alliance has become a threat to the nation.

He made this statement while unveiling the manifesto of the Nepali Congress in Sanepa, Lalitpur, on Tuesday.

Deuba is also the President of Nepali Congress.

"The country now is in dangerous stage. The forces against the democracy have united as one," Prime Minister Deuba said targeting the recent coalition agreement between the Communist Party of Nepal- Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML) and the Maoist Center (MC).

He claimed that only the Nepali Congress will be able to save the nation from this grave threat and appealed to voters to vote for it.

Deuba said the Nepali Congress is the biggest democratic force in the nation.

The Nepali Congress, which has chided with the Maoist Center's alliance with the CPN-UML, has also termed MC as the "opportunist" in its manifesto.

It has also criticized the party for its lust for power and opposition CPN-UML for spreading ultra nationalist and extremist ideology.

"CPN-UML previously termed Madhes movement as a protest for disintegration and issued inappropriate comments against Madhesi people is now gradually falling into a trap of extremism and fake nationalism," the manifesto reads.

Apart from it, the Nepali Congress has come forward with ambiguous plans of economic development and creating more opportunities and employment.

Nepal held its local election after a gap of nearly two decades and now it is heading for provincial and parliamentary election in November and December.
