Bangladesh journalist shot while returning from war criminal's burial

A journalist in Bangladesh has been shot while returning from war crimes convict Salauddin Quader Chowdhury's burial in Chittagong's Raozan area.


According to The Daily Star, the microbus of private television channel Mohona TV was attacked.


Rajib Sen Prince was taken to the hospital with bullet wound on his left leg, said Dr Rajib, an on-duty doctor at Chittagong Medical College Hospital's emergency section.


The incident took place around 11.30 a.m. this morning in Gahira area, hours after S Q Chowdhury was hanged for committing crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War that eventually led to the creation of Bangladesh.
